| Sally Devine | Sally Devine was born in New Jersey in 1969 and relocated to Las Vegas in 1997. Along with being a mother to her son, her other passions include the
environment and community involvement. One of Sally's earliest
recollections of volunteerism is of accompanying her father to a soup
kitchen that served the homeless restaurant style, maitre d included.
Although nervous about her first trip there, the example of her father
showing, with ease, compassion towards the people being served left a
lasting impression. In 1998, Sally was employed by Dr. Robert Grzywacz and his wife, Dawn
Marie Simms. It was during that first holiday season at the practice
that she became involved in collecting socks for the needy in Las
Vegas. This project was dear to Dawn's heart, and after her death,
Sally felt it was important to continue the efforts. Sally is currently the Community Champion for the Gap store in
Summerlin, organizing volunteers from her workplace to take on
community projects ranging from trash pick up on the Las Vegas Strip,
to collecting used denim to distribute to the homeless. She is also
active in the St. Joseph Husband of Mary Church Outreach program.
Sally's organizational skills combined with her compassion for those
less fortunate have culminated into projects that have benefited
countless individuals in the Las Vegas Valley. Sally currently resides in Las Vegas with her husband, Michael, and their one son.
