Beginning with the Fall 2000 Semester, the The SIMMS Foundation endowed an annual scholarship at Fashion Institute of Technology in memory of Marie B. Simms. This gift will be included in the new Fashion Institute of Technology catalogue with all other endowed scholarships administered by the college.

The financial aid donated by the The SIMMS Foundation will be offered to Fashion Institute of Technology students who are hearing or speech impaired and will not be restricted either in terms of matriculation or curriculum.
