THE SIMMS FOUNDATION ANNUAL SOCK DRIVE 2009 Well, it’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone. 2009 was a very good year for The Simms Foundation’s annual sock drive. This year we had a goal of collecting 5,000 pairs of socks and we are happy to say that we well surpassed that goal. This year, with the help of many people within our community as well as many people around the country, we collected 8,004 pairs of NEW socks and shoes, which were distributed to ten organizations in the Las Vegas area. Because of such generosity, we were able to add two new organizations that previously had not received socks from us. With the economic climate of this past year being so poor, it was such a wonderful surprise to receive so many donations.
